Warmth That Doesn't Come From The Glow Of The Computer Screen

WOW! Warm weather!

It is the middle of June and this is the first Sunny Day I have seen here in Portland, Oregon in about two months. It's actually above 60 Degrees! This has been a very odd year weather-wise, because it hasn't been very warm at all this Summer and it hasn't followed the weather pattern that Portland has followed the last 10 years.

I remember 6 or 7 years ago I was on Spring Break at the end of March and it was not colder than 80 Degrees for 2 STRAIGHT WEEKS! So far this year, we haven't had this for more than 2 WHOLE DAYS! It's quite odd and I haven't figured it out.

For the last few months I have had a Winter mentality, and just as a side note, I am not too fond of the rainy cold weather to begin with, so I was feeling a bit out of my groove. Then today I perked up. I felt the sun rejuvenate me and I felt my eyes pop open a little bit more, I stood a little straighter, I walked a little faster, and overall, i just felt a little better.

Another sign was that I woke up, wired, at 6:30 this morning. I only do that when it is really nice weather or it is going to be really nice weather (It's kind of a weird 6th sense with me), so I had a good feeling about today from the get-go!

Anyways, I'm gonna go enjoy the sunshine because who knows when it will decide to poke it's big head out again!

I have to put up a quick post about Reality Networkers. I saw them while I was surfing the web and it sounded intriguing, so I decided to find out more information.

Hey, I just want to share with you some of the actions I have done to successfully advertise and promote whatever program I am involved in online. Using these methods I have successfully gotten leads, paid signups, and I have also converted my leads into paid signups.

Follow this list and you can comment to be able to add anything that has been successful for you as well. Hope this helps!

1. Post at least 3-5 Craigslist Ads a day
2. Post at least 5-10 Backpage Ads a day
3. Join LinkReferral and participate in it every day. This is a GREAT source of Free Traffic!
4. Create a Blog at Blogger or Wordpress
5. Write at least 3-5 posts per day
6. Use your targeted Keywords in each post and in your titles so they get indexed by the search engines and bring you targeted traffic
7. Join a few big Credit-Based Safelists and send out at least one mailing from each of them a day
8. Submit all of your websites/blogs to the major search engines
9. Submit all of your websites/blogs to the major directory sites, and you can use a Free tool that I use called Free Directory Submitter
10. Write an article about your product or service and submit it to as many article directories as you can. Another tool to help with this is called Free Article Submitter
11. Post in Forums. DON'T SPAM! Be helpful and an ACTUAL member of the group and add your link in your Signature Line.
12. Add your Link In your Email Signature Line
13. Comment on other related Blogs
14. Use Manual Traffic Exchanges
15. Continue all of these actions on a daily basis so you have a solid routine and regimen for your daily advertising

I am also just starting to get into Social Networking and Social Bookmarking, and I'm sure it's a great way to advertise and bring traffic to your websites or blogs. I will keep you updated on how I progress with this new traffic medium.

I Knew Things Would Pick Up and Get Interesting

I just decided to take a load off last night and just relax and not worry about what's happening online. I got home, sorted the mail, had a light dinner with my fiancee and talked for a bit. Then we made some popcorn (Mmmmmmmmmmmmm) and watched Rush Hour 3 which was a good movie for me to take my mind off things.

A Slow Day

I just have to let out my boredom on this post.

Today was BORING! Nothing really happened...it was almost like nobody was even online! I went through most of my usual advertising and everything, but there wasn't much response today.

It was one of those days that just seems to drag on and on and on and, well you get the idea. Checking your email after it feels like an eternity and finding that nothing has changed, except for a few email solicitations from Opt-Ins of long ago. It gets pretty disheartening and then I realized that it's only one day.

Do you ever feel like that sometimes?

I guess I just gotta shake it off and get everything off to a better start tomorrow. Here's to a successful tomorrow! I guess this whole "nothing happening" thing is supposed to toughen me up, right? :)

The "Opt-In" People

Have you ever had one of those days where you com home to check your email and you have around 10-20 leads from that day's advertising? You look at them and you get really excited and you get visions of your income exploding, your team growing larger, etc., etc.

As you look at your "Opt-Ins" more closely you see that their email addresses aren't the usual @yahoo.com or @gmail.com. They are something like @ag.com or @ilikedonuts.com, and you can't believe it! I have had those days and I don't like them.

I have officially named those people the "Opt-In People", because that is all they do. They don't REALLY want to get better or find something that might help them. They want to find some offer where they don't have to do any work and someone else will make them tons of money. This doesn't happen, so I wish everybody would just use real email addresses and if you're going to fill out a form at least be a little curious as to how it could help you or what the product ACTUALLY is!

Social Networking

I have heard that this is a great way to generate traffic to whatever site you want. I haven't done any advertising using this method because it seems so time consuming or out of reach for me.

I think I just need to take it one step at a time. Sign up for one Social Networking site and build a decent profile and start interacting with people. Then once that is up and running I can go to another Social Networking site and create another profile and get that one up and running.

It will probably take some time to get them up and running, but if they are done right it can be some great long-term and residual advertising.
